  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Gluten-Free (if using tamari)

Description

A quick and delicious Asian-inspired orange chicken recipe with a sweet and tangy sauce that is perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (preferably fresh)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch until smooth and no lumps remain.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bite-sized chicken pieces. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown.
  3. Pour the prepared orange sauce over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  4. Continue to cook for another 5 – 10 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
  5. Serve hot, ideally over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

Serve over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
