- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Toss in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the orzo along with the chicken broth, and bring it all to a boil.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and add the broccoli.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, then season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a brighter flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Great served with garlic knots or a light salad.
