Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast.
- Pour in the warm water and stir with a wooden spoon until well combined; the dough should be sticky.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it rise at room temperature for 3-4 hours or in the fridge for up to 15 hours.
- Dust your work surface with flour, scoop the dough onto the surface, and shape it into a ball.
- Place the dough ball on parchment paper, cover lightly, and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F with an empty dutch oven inside.
- Remove the cover from the dough and lift the parchment paper with the dough into the preheated dutch oven.
- Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool on a wire rack.
