Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F or 43°C)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Pour in the warm water, stirring until a wet, sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours until doubled in size and bubbly.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  5. Lightly flour a work surface, turn out the dough, and shape it into a ball without kneading.
  6. Transfer the dough onto a piece of parchment paper and place it in the hot Dutch oven.
  7. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

Store bread in a paper bag at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
