Description

A comfort food classic combining tender chicken with creamy ingredients and topped with a crunchy Ritz cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the cooked, shredded chicken with cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, chopped onion, minced garlic, and cream of chicken soup until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading evenly.
  4. Crush the Ritz crackers and sprinkle them over the top of the casserole.
  5. Melt the butter and drizzle it evenly over the crackers.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute cottage cheese with Greek yogurt or crema.
