Description

Ingredients

  • Spaghetti or linguine
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic, minced
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta, reserving a bit of the pasta water.
  6. Add the pasta to the skillet with the tomato mixture and toss to combine.
  7. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  8. Stir in fresh basil leaves and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes
