Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the spinach and cook until wilted if fresh or heated through if frozen.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Toss the cooked tortellini with the creamy sauce until well-coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For a different twist, substitute tortellini with gnocchi, or add sautéed mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
