Crispy and gooey Parmesan chicken inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of Italian-style bread crumbs
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup of milk
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until combined.
- Place the flour in a third dish for dredging.
- Coat each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the chicken into the egg mixture.
- Roll the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Sprinkle this mixture over the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Consider pairing with mashed potatoes, salad, or sautéed green beans. For extra flavor, drizzle with marinara sauce.
