Description

Crispy and gooey Parmesan chicken inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of Italian-style bread crumbs
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish for dredging.
  5. Coat each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess.
  6. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture.
  7. Roll the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  8. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  9. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Sprinkle this mixture over the chicken.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

Consider pairing with mashed potatoes, salad, or sautéed green beans. For extra flavor, drizzle with marinara sauce.
