- 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese (pepper jack optional)
- 8 slices of bacon, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sour cream (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Arrange the tater tots on a baking sheet and bake for 28 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Cool the tater tots for a few minutes until manageable.
- Thread 4 to 6 tater tots onto each skewer closely packed.
- Lay skewers on a baking sheet, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, and half of the green onions.
- Bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Sprinkle with remaining green onions and serve with sour cream.
Notes
For extra crispy bacon, cook the bacon in advance. For a vegetarian option, use sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers instead of bacon.
