Description
A classic Italian dish filled with layers of meats, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella in a rich marinara sauce.

- 9 sheets Lasagna Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 24 ounces Marinara Sauce
- 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 4 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and lay them flat on a towel.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and parsley until smooth.
- To assemble: spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Lay three noodles over the sauce, spread half of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella.
- Repeat layers: meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella.
- Finish with a final layer of noodles topped with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before cutting to help it hold its shape. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
