- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and garlic, and sauté until mushrooms are tender.
- In a baking dish, place the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the creamy garlic sauce (made with heavy cream, cheese, and herbs) over the chicken.
- Add the sautéed mushrooms on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For added creaminess, consider mixing in additional cheese. Allow to rest before serving for best flavor.
