Description

Delicious and juicy Italian meatballs made from a perfect blend of ground beef and pork, simmered in rich marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 jar marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and milk; mix thoroughly.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until they are cooked through and golden.
  6. Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat in a large pan.
  7. Carefully transfer baked meatballs to the pan with sauce and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, don’t overmix the meatball mixture and test for seasoning before forming all the meatballs.
