- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until they soften and become fragrant.
- Add the chicken breasts, cooking until both sides are nicely browned—about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, cooked pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- Top generously with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
