- 1 package Puff Pastry (pre-made and defrosted)
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
- 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the defrosted puff pastry on a floured surface for easier handling.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Brush the melted butter generously over the puff pastry.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
- Cut the pastry into long strips.
- Twist each strip several times and place them on your prepared baking sheet.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the twists for a golden finish.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the twists are puffed and golden brown.
- Once done, sprinkle with powdered sugar for that stunning finishing touch.
