Description
A flavorful dish featuring succulent chicken pieces marinated in honey, soy sauce, and garlic, sautéed to perfection for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup pure honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Optional: 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of oil. Add the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer.
- Sauté the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Pour the remaining marinade over the cooked chicken and simmer on medium-low for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Notes
Serve with fluffy white rice or quinoa, and add a side of steamed broccoli or sautéed greens for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
