  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of oil. Add the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer.
  5. Sauté the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Pour the remaining marinade over the cooked chicken and simmer on medium-low for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
