Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Gradually add in the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
  4. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, covering it with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough. Gently fold in the shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeños.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
