  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Omnivore

Description

A crowd-pleasing appetizer made with crispy hashbrowns, savory bacon, and creamy cheese, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns (30 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the package of frozen hashbrowns in a large mixing bowl and allow them to thaw for about 10 minutes.
  3. Once the hashbrowns are soft, break them into smaller pieces using your hands or a spoon.
  4. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing it evenly with the hashbrowns.
  5. Sprinkle in the crumbled bacon, and stir gently to combine.
  6. Add the onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, black pepper, and salt. Mix until the spices are well dispersed.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  8. Pour this creamy mixture over the hashbrowns and bacon, stirring everything together until fully coated.
  9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
  10. Scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into bite-sized balls, placing them on the baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with a zesty dipping sauce. Can be frozen before baking for later enjoyment.
