A delightful dish featuring tender chicken thighs in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, cooked effortlessly in the Instant Pot.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs. (750g) chicken thighs (about 4 chicken thighs)
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cooking oil (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or brown sugar)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons water (or chicken broth for added flavor)
- 3 dashes cayenne pepper (for a hint of heat)
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper and set aside.
- Mix all ingredients for the Honey Garlic Sauce in a separate bowl and set aside.
- Turn on the Saute mode on the Instant Pot and heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
- Pan-sear the chicken thighs, starting skin side down, until golden brown on both sides.
- Add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of oil and minced garlic, sautéing until aromatic.
- Pour in the honey garlic sauce, cover the Instant Pot, and set to High pressure for 10 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, switch to Quick Release, then carefully remove the lid, add chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken thighs in the honey garlic sauce for a couple of hours before cooking.
