Description
A quick and satisfying meal of tender, juicy chicken cooked in an Instant Pot, infused with savory broth and seasonings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Optional: Fresh or dried herbs like thyme or rosemary
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Generously sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the chicken breasts.
- Add the broth: Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
- Insert chicken: Place the seasoned chicken breasts on top of the broth.
- Seal and cook: Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Release pressure: After cooking, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.
- Remove and rest: Carefully remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate.
- Thicken the broth: Switch the Instant Pot to ‘sauté’ and simmer the leftover juices until thickened to your liking.
- Serve: Pour the thickened gravy over the chicken and enjoy your meal!
Notes
For maximum flavor, let the chicken marinate in the spices for at least 30 minutes before cooking. You can use frozen chicken breasts by increasing the cooking time to about 12-15 minutes.
