Description

A quick and hearty dish featuring tender chicken in rich gravy, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and melt the butter.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Sprinkle the onion soup mix and flour over the chicken, followed by pouring in the chicken broth.
  5. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual mode for 10 minutes.
  6. Allow for a 5-minute natural release before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  7. Remove the chicken and shred it if preferred.
  8. Whisk the gravy in the pot until smooth and serve over the chicken.
  9. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic or fresh thyme while sautéing. For thicker gravy, mix more flour with water and stir it in while cooking.
