Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups milk

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, stir together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually stir in the milk over medium heat until well combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  4. Once thickened enough to coat the back of a metal spoon, remove from heat.
  5. Add in the butter and vanilla, stirring until melted.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then transfer to a bowl. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Notes
