Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion becomes soft. Be sure to drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce if desired.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly at the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the beef and cheese layers.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  9. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
