Ingredients

  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil until combined.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken in the prepared baking dish. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the top, ensuring the chicken is well-coated.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing, then garnish with chopped green onions. Serve over rice or with your choice of vegetables.

Notes

For a crispy texture, broil the chicken for the last few minutes of cooking. Marinade chicken for deeper flavor.
