  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, ginger (if using), salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, coating it well in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Turn the heat to low. Remove the chicken and whisk in cornstarch mixed with water (if using) to the pan drippings, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute or two.
  5. Garnish with green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Serve with jasmine rice or steamed vegetables.
