Description
A delightful combination of sweetness and savory richness that elevates any weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces Chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, ginger (if using), salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, coating it well in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Turn the heat to low. Remove the chicken and whisk in cornstarch mixed with water (if using) to the pan drippings, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute or two.
- Garnish with green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Serve with jasmine rice or steamed vegetables.
