Description

Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup hot water
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Chili beans
- Taco meat
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Avocado
- Olives
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add the hot water and knead with your hands until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
- While the dough is resting, heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees.
- Take golf-ball-sized pieces of dough and roll them into balls.
- On a floured surface, gently roll each ball into circles about 6-7 inches in diameter.
- Fry the dough in hot oil for about 20 seconds or until it puffs up and turns golden brown. Flip and fry for an additional 10-20 seconds.
- Remove the fry bread and set it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Keep them warm in the oven while frying the remaining pieces.
- Once all fry bread is done, spread the chili beans and taco meat over the fry bread, then add your favorite toppings. Serve warm!
