- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup olive oil (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- Fresh rosemary (about 1 tablespoon, chopped)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add the bread flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for 1.5-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and stretch it onto a greased baking sheet.
- Dimple the surface with your fingers and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with fresh rosemary.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
