Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and layer the sliced potatoes evenly.
- Spread the cooked ground beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the layers, ensuring even distribution.
- Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
- Top generously with shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
