Description

Delicious and nutritious pizza rolls filled with pepperoni and mozzarella, perfect for snacks or meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (low-fat option available)
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (turkey or vegan optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into 4×4 inch squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of pizza sauce, a handful of mozzarella cheese, and a few pepperoni slices in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the dough over to form a roll and pinch the edges tightly to seal them.
  6. Arrange your rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with additional pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a unique flavor, consider substituting mozzarella with other cheeses like cheddar or gouda. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or freeze for up to a month.
