Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
- Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Place it in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into heart shapes with a cookie cutter.

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour. For a dairy-free option, substitute with dairy-free chocolate chips.
