Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Cooking spray or oil for air frying
- For coating: 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, sugar, butter, and salt. Bring this mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove it from the heat and stir in the flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then shape it into small bites.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Place the churro bites in the basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
- Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Immediately toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while they are warm.
- Serve and enjoy your delightful healthy churro bites!
