Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  2. Poke holes in the bottom of each Hawaiian roll using a toothpick.
  3. Dip each roll into the custard mixture for about 30 seconds on each side.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  5. Cook the soaked rolls for 30-60 seconds on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
