Description
Delightful homemade crêpes filled with rich chocolate, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon butter (for the filling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crêpe Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth. Allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes.
- Cook the Crêpes: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan, swirling to create a thin layer. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 30 seconds. Repeat for all the batter.
- Prepare the Chocolate Filling: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it simmers. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Assemble the Crêpes: Lay each crêpe flat, spoon some chocolate filling in the center, and roll tightly around the filling.
Notes
Feel free to substitute dark chocolate with milk or white chocolate. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries.
