- 1 pound fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the trimmed green beans in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large baking dish, mix the blanched green beans with the soup mixture and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Top the mixture with fried onions and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Consider serving with roasted turkey or ham, and garnish with fresh parsley for a splash of color.
