- 2 cups buttermilk (for the marinade)

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight in the refrigerator.
- In another bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the chicken pieces to the oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet.
- Fry the chicken for about 10-12 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain on paper towels.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, use the oven at 375°F for about 20-25 minutes.
