Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz. beef kielbasa, sliced into ½ to ¾ inch chunks
- 20 oz. can of pineapple chunks, juice reserved
- 3 Tbsp. teriyaki sauce
- 1 Tbsp. sweet chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. pineapple juice (from the can)
- Plain toothpicks for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Drain the pineapple chunks, reserving 1 tablespoon of juice. Slice the kielbasa into even chunks.
- Create the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, and reserved pineapple juice until smooth.
- Sear the Kielbasa: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté kielbasa chunks for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let drain.
- Glaze and Simmer: Toss drained pineapple in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes, then add the glaze, stirring to coat. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the glaze thickens.
- Assemble and Serve: Spear a piece of kielbasa and a pineapple chunk with a toothpick. Arrange on a platter and serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute turkey kielbasa. For a thicker glaze, simmer longer, watching closely to avoid burning.
