Ingredients

- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup cooked potatoes, mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Boil the cabbage in salted water until tender, then remove the leaves and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onion until translucent.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, salt, pepper, and mashed potatoes to form a dough.
- Take a cabbage leaf, place a spoonful of the dough mixture in the center, and fold the leaf around the filling.
- Repeat until all dough and leaves are used.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the dumplings for about 20-25 minutes.
- Serve warm with breadcrumbs sprinkled on top.
Notes
For best results, use fresh cabbage and good-quality potatoes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
