A quick and flavorful side dish combining fresh green beans with garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and trim the green beans, removing any tough ends.
- In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add the green beans to the bowl, tossing them until they’re well coated in the oil mixture.
- Spread the beans evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until tender and slightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the beans.
- Serve immediately, adding optional red pepper flakes for extra heat if desired.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
