- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder (for frosting)
- 3 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/3 cup milk (for frosting)
- Rainbow sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar.
- Add the eggs one by one, stirring well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter and cocoa powder until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Once the brownies are cool, frost them and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Slice and serve!
Notes
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze.
