  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 large lemon, juiced (2 tablespoons or 30 milliliters)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (25 grams) grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (or set your air fryer to 375°F).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a sealable plastic container, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, oregano, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Pour about three-quarters of this marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Massage gently for even coverage.
  5. Refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  6. Reserve the remaining marinade for later use.
  7. Arrange the marinated chicken on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket, spacing them out for even cooking.
  8. Roast in the oven for about 17-20 minutes or air fry for 12 minutes, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Drizzle the reserved marinade over the chicken just before serving for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

For a crunchier finish, broil the chicken for a few minutes at the end of cooking.
