Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s directions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the oat flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the almond milk, egg, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until blended.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Lightly grease your waffle iron with cooking spray or oil.
- Pour enough batter onto the hot waffle iron to fill it and close the lid. Cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Repeat with any remaining batter.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a flavor twist, consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter. Allowing the batter to rest will result in extra fluffy waffles.
