- 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon juice, remaining butter, and season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and garlic mixture, adding a bit of pasta water if needed.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Make sure shrimp are peeled and deveined. Reserve pasta water to add creaminess to the sauce.
