A quick and delicious pasta dish that combines buttery spaghetti with succulent shrimp and fragrant garlic, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice, remaining butter, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and garlic mixture, adding a bit of pasta water if needed.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Make sure shrimp are peeled and deveined. Reserve pasta water to add creaminess to the sauce.
