Easy English Pea Salad

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian (without bacon bits)

Description

A refreshing and creamy salad featuring vibrant green peas, perfect for picnics and barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 13 oz. – 16 oz. Frozen Peas (thawed and drained)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup Purple/Red Onion (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Real Bacon Bits

Instructions

  1. Thaw the Peas: Place frozen peas in a colander and rinse with cold water. Allow them to thaw while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Make the Dressing: In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Add the thawed peas, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and bacon bits to the bowl. Mix everything together until well coated.
  4. Chill: Cover the salad and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon bits. For an even creamier texture, add more mayonnaise or sour cream.
