Description
A decadent chocolate tart with fresh raspberries and a crunchy Oreo crust, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups Oreo crumbs (about 24 cookies)
- 6 Tablespoons (85 g) butter, melted
- 1 ¼ cups (300 ml) heavy cream
- 2 cups (12 oz) good-quality bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 pints (about 4 cups) fresh raspberries
- Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Set it aside to firm up.
- Make the Chocolate Filling: In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream until it’s just about to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and vanilla extract. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Assemble the Tart: Pour the chocolate filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly. Top it with fresh raspberries, arranging them as you like.
- Chill: Place the tart in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes, or until firm.
- Serve: Once chilled, dust the top with confectioners’ sugar before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the filling, and ensure the crust is firmly pressed into the tart pan for best results. Add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
