- Whole grain crackers or bread (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the cucumber into thick rounds, approximately half an inch thick.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese with freshly chopped herbs, adding salt and pepper as desired.
- Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on one cucumber slice, then place another cucumber slice on top.
- If using crackers or bread, spread the filling on those and top with cucumber slices.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving time.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating garlic powder, or try flavored cream cheeses like chive or roasted red pepper. They are best enjoyed fresh within 24 hours.
