Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 package Wonton wrappers
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for frying
  • Chili flakes, to taste
  • Cheese (cream cheese or cheddar), to taste
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley), to taste
  • Chopped vegetables (bell peppers or carrots), to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry. Chop them into smaller pieces or keep them whole.
  2. Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine shrimp, garlic, green onions, ginger, salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Wrap the Wontons: Lay a wonton wrapper flat. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, brush edges with beaten egg, and fold to seal.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a pan, heat enough oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry Until Golden: Add wontons in batches and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces, fresh salad, or alongside rice or noodles for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
