Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of brioche bread
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

- Cut the brioche into thick slices and arrange them in the greased dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the brioche slices, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Just before baking, sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the top of the soaked bread.

- Serve warm, optionally with fresh fruits or whipped cream.
Notes
For the best flavor, soak the bread overnight. Use a kitchen torch or broiler for caramelizing the sugar on top.
