Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Black olives (for decoration)
- Green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened.
- Stir in peas, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread the meat mixture in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes, smoothing out the top.
- Use a fork to create spooky designs in the potatoes.
- If desired, add black olives for eyes.
- Optional: Mix green food coloring into the mashed potatoes for a creepy effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
