Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 15 oz Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 8 oz rigatoni, uncooked
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 5 oz fresh spinach
  • Salt and coarsely ground black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add crumbled sausage and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it up until fully cooked.
  3. Stir in uncooked rigatoni, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic, Italian seasoning, and tomato sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to medium heat.
  5. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until rigatoni is al dente.
  6. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste before serving.

Notes

Best garnished with Parmesan cheese and served with a side salad or garlic bread.
