Description
A comforting and hearty pasta dish made with rigatoni, Italian sausage, and a creamy sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot. Add the rigatoni and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cheese melts.
- Toss the drained rigatoni in the skillet with the sauce until well-coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option or use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a slightly thinner sauce.
