- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Generously season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat and add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the creamy goodness.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. Add sun-dried tomatoes or spinach for extra flavor.
