Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Generously season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat and add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the creamy goodness.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. Add sun-dried tomatoes or spinach for extra flavor.
